We do not require a deposit for reservations! We expect in good faith, unless unforeseen circumstances occur, that buyers do intend to get the kid they have reserved.

Although color is fun, that is not what we breed for, and not what reputable breeders should be breeding for

All kids will (most likely) be pulled from dams to be bottle fed. We prefer to bottle feed kids for a minimum of 12 weeks. Kids will be available on the bottle to experienced and/or trustworthy buyers. Please do not be offended if a series of questions are asked, this is only because we have the kid's best interest in mind. No kid will be sold as a bottle kid unless they are already well trained to the bottle! All kids that will be sold on a bottle must be picked up within four weeks. If a date has been arranged within those first four weeks, boarding fees will not apply. However, if the kid has not been picked up, boarding fees will be charged for two weeks, and any weeks thereafter if the kid is still here. If you are local and need a source of milk, milk can be purchased from us fresh or frozen at $10/gallon. 

 

If buyers are unable to bottle feed at the time or are unexperienced, we are happy to hold and feed the kid for 12 weeks, boarding fees will apply. If you would like to have your kid held here, please let us know far in advance (preferably at the time of reservation).

Boarding Price Breakdown:

The first three weeks are free as kids we will hold all kids for three weeks regardless of whether their owners intend to pick them up as bottle kids or have them boarded here until weaning.

While at our farm, all kids will receive 2 CD&T vaccine doses (2ml) - $2.40

Calf Pro daily, dosed by weight, starting at one week of age ~$0.01/mL, most kids will receive 126mL in 12 weeks - $1.26

Sweetlix Meat Maker Minerals - $0.09/oz, most kids will consume ~5 oz in 9 weeks - $0.45

Milk - $1/lb, most kids will consume ~120lbs of milk in 9 weeks - $120

Grain/Hay - $18.09 for 9 weeks

Total: $150 for 9 weeks

Note: Although typical goat milk prices are higher than $1/lb, we realize that charging more for the milk would simply be unrealistic for most buyers and have made the decision to lower it. Therefore, our boarding fee prices are approximately $16 per week. The first week is free as all kids will stay here for a minimum of one week regardless to ensure they are healthy.

 

In order for a kid to be boarded here, a 50% deposit must be made within the first week after the buyer has been notified that the kid is available for purchase. Boarding fee charges must be paid in advance.
